HOW TO MAKE EASY CHOCOLATE CAKE

- 1 cup of flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1/4 cup of soft butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 1/2 cups of icing sugar for the glaze
- 125 grams of chocolate for the glaze
- 3 tablespoons butter for the glaze
- 3 tablespoons of water for the glaze
To start with the preparation of the chocolate cake you must first beat the butter until you get a smooth cream.
For this, it is recommended that the butter is at room temperature.
Then, add the sugar and continue beating. When you have it well integrated, add the eggs without stopping moving.
Remember that the eggs should be thrown one by one so that until the first one is completely integrated, do not add the second one.
Next, add all the previously sieved dry ingredients, cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, cornstarch, and salt.
This will help prevent lumps from forming in the dough, will add air to the mix and, therefore, will make a sponge cake more spongy and moist.
Note that the amount of chocolate is to taste, so that if you prefer you can add more or less.. Stir at low speed with the blender.
Add milk, butter, and vanilla. Beat with a mixer at low speed, then beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Put in a round mold of 22 cms. in diameter, greased and floured.
Bake at 350ºF for 30 or 35 minutes.
Remove from the oven and cool on a rack for 10 minutes. Remove from the mold and let cool completely.
To make the glaze: melt chocolate and butter over low heat, remove from the heat and add
the icing sugar and hot water always stirring.
If it is necessary to add more water to have the consistency of glaze.
Glaze the cake and let it drain from the sides to cover it completely
